See more about 'Mars Rover Remote Controlled Action Motion Picture Prop' Description Mars Rover Remote Controlled Action Motion Picture Prop / This auction is for a One (1) of two (2) Mars rovers that were custom built, and starred in a major Hollywood motion picture, they have also appearred in a recent popular television show.  These 2 one of a kind, museum quality rovers were built  close to the size of the real Mars Rover (but not the weight) they are approx.  24"L  X 18"W X 15" H, and weigh about 45-55 pounds.  The photos below are of Rover#1.  Some of the specs and features are:  6 wheel drive (6 individual motors), fully adjustable 6 wheel independent suspension  (based on torque, not speed, the unit will climb over rocks and just about anything within reason).  Operating core sample drill (drawer slides out, drill turns on and starts down).   Operating solar panels  (open and close).  Operating mock camera (once the camera staff  is manually installed, the remote functions are:  telescope up & down, camera head tilts and will also pan and is adjustable to 180 degrees).  The rovers servo & drive systems are set up with both 6 volt & 12 volt rechargeable systems.  The hydraulics will run on either compressed air or Co2, via built in chargeable storage tanks.   The remote control is a Futaba PCM 1024, with 8 channels.  The rover comes crated in it's own wooden box and also includes a complete maintanence and repair parts kit.   *If desired, personal hands on operating instructions from the creator-builder, are available, at your locale, for an additional charge*.   Local pick up is encouraged, but we will work with the buyer on shipping as well.  PLEASE NOTE - the shipping quote is for the continuous 48 U.S. States only, shipping to other countries will be at a higher rate.   ***Soon we will be listing sister rover #2 *** Place a Bid!
