Description
Rare, Original EMI Disc, UK Acetate for early versions of the tracks. By the way, the logos are digitally superimosed over the labels. The labels are hand typed with no writing or other imperfections. Just some light foxing. All complete versions, all very different from the finished versions and Two tracks that werent released officially until a few years later. This is truly an amazing snapshot of the Stones as they were heading to their apex. Fantastic different versions. Here's the track list:Side 1:Midnight Rambler (unissued edited version--almost like a singles Mix.Love in Vain, early MONO mix....StunningLet It Bleed, Mono, alternate mixMonkey Man, Mono, alternate mixSide 2:Give Me Some Sh elter (yes, typo on the label, early outtake of Gimme Shelter, but Keith Richard vocal, MONO mix)You Got Some Silver Now (early outtake of You Got The Silver, but Mick Jagger Vocal, MONO mix)Sister Morphine (early Demo, even earlier than the Marianne Faithfull early version, --with extra verse--Marianne sings it on her version, but never made the final version on Sticky Fingers mixLoving Cup (early version, completely different take than the Exile on Main Street version. That one is completely different from this one.Anyway, very few acetates survive today, probably only one or two more of these, ANYWHERE! Condition: Visually, conservative VG, as acetate surfaces are very different from convention records. Lots of light scuffs and marks, but I played this once to tape, and the sound is still SO hot, and the mono mix will drop you to the floor. Definately has surface noise, but every acetate does. When its rockin' you dont notice it much, but its there in the quieter passages Still a stunning artifact as a snapshot of the Stones in late 68 or early 69.
