ALL OTHERS ARE FREE TO WINNER!! you get all drawings as shown, no reserve! you are looking at a VERY VERY RARE original SIGNED  SANTA art !  With the passing of Mr. Newton, this can NEVER be made again! these drawings are by the creator of GARFIELD GOOSE, Mr. Bruce Newton.  i did not have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Newton, but i am the proud owner of his family's garfield goose toy, which is THE ONLY ONE THAT WAS EVER signed by Mr. Newton!!......... like these works of art, it is very rare and i am proud to be it's caretaker.  (the goose, case, and magazine are NOT for sale, just showing proof that i have it.) i have been told (in writing) by the only son of the Newton family that Bruce was NEVER asked for HIS autograph, always Garfield's. THEREFORE,To obtain a signed work of MR. NEWTON'S...that is not related to Garfield......., is a chance of a lifetime!  there very well may be NO OTHER EXAMPLES IN EXISTANCE, as i believe these were made for family fun and  PERSONAL amusement.  they were put away and forgotten! Mr. Newton purchased and LOVINGLY signed a large table book for his wife, see photo (also  book is NOT FOR SALE, just showing pics for proof.) Tucked inside this book were pages of his original art work. some of them may have gotten wet from storage, and some may have stuck together, but all have survived 97%  OR BETTER, and intact!  each has a signature in the form of the famous "N" EXCEPT SANTA...SANTA IS FULLY SIGNED! . some are colored in characters, others are not.  it looks like he may have pencil drawn some of them first, then used black and colored markers to enhance.  some are double sided or stuck together. it is obvious to me that these were done in a loving atmosphere, at home, perhaps while sitting by his fireplace, and were NEVER MEANT for commercial viewing or sale. they show a deep massive love for his work, family, and the children who came from all over to see his show. whether you bid or not, i hope you will enjoy the rarity of this work of art. simple, elegant, no pretense, just a view of a loving dad or grandad enjoying his life. even garfield would be proud!! :-) :-) NO TWO ARE ALIKE! i have been told that Mr. and Mrs. Newton  did a weekly (when possible) traveling children's puppet show, and that most of these works of art, are either of his puppets and/or are of his 'nick-names' for his children, first grandchild, and/or himeslf and his dear wife. you are bidding  SANTA, the rest of THE LOT AS SHOWN,  are free to winner.  I HAVE SHOWN THE BACK SIDE OF THEM SO YOU CAN SEE THEY ARE ALL ORIGINAL AND UNALTERED art work in this auction. it is wonderful!  apprx 11" by 8 1/2", on original, simple, white paper.
